Entrepreneur Scott O. Hirsch Reflects On How Boxing Played A Role In His Success
Delray Beach / ICrowdNewswire / March 25, 2020 /
Scott O. Hirsch has worn many hats in his successful career; entrepreneur, CEO, digital marketing professional, philanthropist, speaker, and author, just to name a few. But the one that he reflects on as giving him the most personal satisfaction is his role of managing professional boxers.
Delray Beach, Florida resident Hirsch explains that managing some of the best boxers in history was challenging, especially while simultaneously running his businesses, but very extremely enjoyable. "Champs like Cory Spinks, Shannon Briggs, and Jameel McCline taught me a lot about myself and my leadership skills," he said.
These were once in a lifetime years for Hirsch. He managed two-time heavyweight champion Shannonn Briggs to seven consecutive victories and the WBO World Heavyweight title. Today, he continues to manage five time World Champion and the International Boxing Federation top ranked junior middleweight, Cory Spinks. All very impressive accomplishments, some could call knockouts for the multi-talented man. Hirsch has a talent for recognizing talent and opportunity.
Scott, the founder of eDirect and Appsbar, Inc. and 2006 World Boxing Organization's Boxing Manager of the Year is also a lifelong boxing fan. He has fond memories of his father and grandfather taking him to Miami Beach's Fifth Street gym when he was just a young boy. Although Scott O. Hirsch suffered from chronic asthma, he had "hands on experience" boxing and participated in two professional boxing matches, winning them both. He continues to incorporate many of the lessons he acquired back in those days to manage his boxers, recognize opportunities and run successful ventures.
Briggs also suffered from asthma which was affecting his performance in the ring and his reputation. During one of the lowest points in his career when the world and major networks turned their backs on Briggs because of their concern with his health, Scott O. Hirsch saw a huge amount of potential in Briggs and agreed to be his manager. The duo went on to win many more championships throughout the years including 12 consecutive knockouts and the 2006 WBO World Heavyweight Championship in Phoenix Arizona. Throughout training camps and every match, Scott O. Hirsch and their entire team would use the mantra, "Let's go champ," which became their usual greeting.
Scott O. Hirsch and Shannon Briggs have recently entered another collaboration but this time it is in the business world. Inspired by their mantra, "Let's Go Champ" is now the name of their company that is dedicated to inspiring and motivating anyone who feels like an underdog, and might need some assistance bringing out the champion inside.
